The following is a review of the movie “The Accidental HUSBAND”.
The main cast: Uma Thurman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Colin Firth, Isabella Rossellini, Sam Shepard
Dr. Emma Lloyd (Uma Thurman) is a host of a popular radio show. Emma’s career as a filler event consulting relationship with the rapidly increasing rate rise this event. As well as tips that she gave, her life is a life very organized and responsible. The problem is, not everything in life can be planned as when she gives advice.
Emma plans to get married Richard Bratton (Colin Firth), her fiance but there is one event that disrupt their plans already made with this ripe. Once upon a time there was a woman named Sophia (Justina Machado) who seek advice on her love problems. After discovering the matter, she suggested that Sophia left her husband.
Unfortunately, Patrick Sullivan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Sophia’s lover who thinks that he would soon marry Sophia could not accept the fact that Sophia was suddenly left him only because advice from Emma. On paper, The Accidental HUSBAND actually promised much. First because the basic concept is strong enough. During translated into good form with the manuscript that had a strong concept can promise a very interesting spectacle. The second course is the actor names attached. At least, Uma Thurman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Colin Firth have proved that their acting ability is above average.
Unfortunately, that’s a good concept that was not too successful in its execution. The reason is the ending that was too forced. The concept of happy endings are identical with Hollywood films despite the fact that not everyone in the end get a happy ending. And here the director seems too reluctant to change the standard happy ending for the sake of unity is an interesting story line.
Sub plot built around the main plot did not seem any attention. That is, small grooves are so impressive and was not merely a patch on the main storyline alone. And the sub plot is actually quite has the potential to support the main plot is pretty good.
In the third act was the protagonist of this seems to not work out their maximum potential. Potential Colin Firth was in vain because she did not get a big enough role as the chemistry between Uma Thurman and Jeffrey Dean Morgan also was bland. As a result, the basic concept was too strong to be in vain, too
